Bird Ballad Birthday Card for Gram

Today's card is created for my Gram.  She would have been 104 years old on July 31st.  She enjoyed nature, birds, flowers, and always a general rule of thumb; use what you have.
So today's card is a bit of old and new.  Sample was created in a retired pink color along with the doilies which are also retired, plus the embellishments.  What's new?  Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper along with current product of Whisper White and Sahara Sand ink.
The measurements for the card is as follows:
Card Base:  Petal Pink cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
Front Panel and Inside Panel:  Whisper White cut 4 x 5 1/4
Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper: 2 x 4 piece plus a bird design for focal point
Strip for inside panel:  Petal Pink cut 3/4 x 5 1/4, and Bird Ballad  1/2 x 5 1/4
Strip for Whisper White Envelope:  Petal Pink cut 3/4 x 5 7/8 and Bird Ballad cut 1/2 x 5 7/8
Whisper White Envelope

For this card, I only used one ink color which is Sahara Sand.  The sentiment and the Birch stamp are the only images stamped.  A hint of the doilies showing through from underneath the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper compliments the blue bird.
Here I'm showing you how I simply added a strip of Petal Pink and Bird Ballard to the inside of the card along with the front of the envelope. A special touch that does not go unnoticed.
A nice touch is adding some Wink of Stella to the birds.  Just a little sparkle adds a lot to this design.
I hope you give this card a try.  Take some of your old product and mix with new!  You will be happy that you did.
Happy stamping and creating,
Karen
